Mold Investigation

Mold is a naturally occurring part of the earth’s ecology and mold spores are present virtually everywhere.  Problems arise when elevated moisture conditions in our home allow mold to colonize and infest to the point of causing damage to our house and health.

• A mold assessment is a top to bottom examination of a building for evidence of mold or conditions that would allow the growth of mold.  This type of inspection is appropriate if mold is suspected because it is visible or suspicious odors are present.  This, however, is not a mold test.

• A mold test is the laboratory analysis of a sample taken from a building to determine what species of mold is present.  Different testing protocols provide different kinds of information.
